About ND MKE
ND MKE is a grassroots initiative created to solve a common problem in Milwaukee: traditional social gatherings can be exhausting for neurodivergent adults.
Bars, loud coffee shops, and crowded networking events require constant masking, struggling against background noise, and navigating unwritten social expectations. We wanted to build something different.
Our Mission: To create accessible, low-sensory social environments where autistic, ADHD, and neurodivergent adults in Greater Milwaukee can connect authentically through shared activities without social pressure.
Parallel Play & Low-Pressure
Our events are built around "parallel play"—the concept of being together, doing your own thing, without the demand of constant interaction. Whether you want to collaborate on a puzzle, play a tabletop game, or just build LEGO quietly next to someone, your level of engagement is entirely up to you.
Built on Sensory Accessibility
Every venue we scout and every gathering we host strictly honors our published Sensory Contract. We take environmental triggers off the table so you can conserve your energy for enjoying yourself.
